Atletico Madrid prepares the blow
The Atletico de Madrid prepares the blow. After several weeks of back and forth on this matter, the red and white team will not miss the opportunity and will acquire the services of the disruptive international winger Vitolo, a 27-year-old player who currently defends the colors of Sevilla.
According to the information published by the newspaper Marca, the red and white team has reached an agreement with the Sevillian footballer and has even devised a plan to close his signing without any consequences with FIFA, as it is necessary to remember the sanction that prevents the club from signing until January.
In this way, the Madrid team will give €40M to Vitolo so that he can pay his buyout clause with Sevilla by depositing this amount in La Liga. In this way, and already as a free agent, the Canary Islands native will land at UD Las Palmas and play for this club until January. Once the winter transfer market opens, the player will move to Atletico de Madrid to work under the orders of Diego Pablo Simeone.
Interestingly, UD Las Palmas is one of the great beneficiaries of this operation. In addition to pocketing €5M (as it has a clause with Sevilla that entitles them to 12% of the player's sale), the yellow team will be able to count on a top-level player for half a season.
