Gunners Going All Out to Strengthen Squad
They're going all out. Arsenal had a regular season in 2016/17. They secured a spot in the Europa League and lifted the FA Cup trophy. However, Arsene Wenger's aspirations for this season were the Champions League and the Premier League.
The Gunners will seek to improve in the English tournament. That's why they will splash out and reinforce the team with players who stood out in European football.
According to The Telegraph, Thomas Lemar and Alexandre Lacazette are on the radar of the London club, who would be willing to pay up to 96 million euros to secure the services of both players.
Lemar shone in Jardim's Monaco, which reached the Champions League semifinals. The only obstacle to his arrival in England would be the possible departure of Kylian Mbappé from the principality club; if this were to happen, the French would seek to block Arsenal's path for the midfielder.
On the other hand, Lyon striker Lacazette is also being considered by Atletico Madrid, however, the Londoners would be willing to pay his transfer fee, which is around 55 million euros.
