There was no justice for them. Deportivo Municipal continues to be dismayed by the light punishment received by the players of Universitario de Deportes and Alianza Lima who fought in the classic match, and for this reason they will demand a harsher sanction from the ADFP Justice Commission.
The councilmen argued that their goalkeeper Erick Delgado received a 3-match suspension for similar acts and that it is not fair that both Luis Aguiar and Luis Tejada (protagonists of the brawl) only received two days of punishment.

"In the case of Erick Delgado, despite evaluating the CONAR video which showed that there was no direct fight with Beltrán, they gave him a three-match suspension based on the referee's report; all of this seems scandalous to me. We have appealed to the Justice Commission for them to analyze the case thoroughly and evaluate both the numbers and the corresponding punishments for both Alianza Lima and Universitario," said Martín Ojeda, delegate of Municipal, on Radio Ovación.
"We are not appealing because of the two-day suspension, but because of a right that goes beyond these two days. Due process has not been respected and these situations, with many games to play in the Opening, set a very bad precedent," added the leader.

In addition, the president of the ADFP Justice Commission, Luis Naval, said that in his opinion, Luis Tejada should have fulfilled his suspension upon returning from his national team duty and not while playing in the CONCACAF Eliminatories.
