It would be a matter of hours for the Bolivian midfielder to sign his contract with the Mexican club.
Alejandro Chumacero is about to wear the red and white striped shirt of Necaxa. In fact, all that is missing is the player's signature for him to leave The Strongest and depart to Liga MX in the coming days.
Until Thursday night, the future of the paceño midfielder was uncertain; he had proposals from clubs in Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, and there was even a lot of talk about his transfer to Europe, but yesterday the doubts were cleared and the player is one of the possible reinforcements of Necaxa.
This Friday, the 26-year-old footballer met with part of The Strongest's board of directors, they talked for a while to find out his stance regarding his future in Mexican football. Some club executives consider the transfer of the player as a fact, who would earn about a million dollars per season.
After the meeting, Chumacero did not want to talk much about the subject, he just said that his mind is on The Strongest and that his possible departure from Tigre is not completely confirmed until his contract is signed.
Previously, the player said that he will have the final decision on his footballing future and that he will consult with his family about the possibility of moving to another country in order to ensure the well-being of his loved ones.
"I haven't made any decision yet," said the player slowly after the meeting with the executives.
A few days before, the player said that in his mind is the idea of leaving Bolivia to show his best game abroad since he still has that thorn from 2013 when he went to Brazil, to Sport Recife, and played few matches in the Brazilian tournament.
