Leonardo Jardim extends contract with Monaco
The coach Leonardo Jardim put to rest any uncertainty about his future by signing a new contract with Monaco until 2020.
The newly crowned French football champion announced the agreement on Wednesday, a day after reports emerged that Jardim had an offer from a Chinese team on the table.
Monaco stated that Jardim "has the ambition to continue this project and continue helping the club grow".
The 42-year-old manager arrived at Monaco three years ago and put an end to Paris Saint-Germain's four consecutive titles in the French league.
Monaco finished the season eight points ahead of PSG and scored 107 goals in 38 league matches, and over 150 in all competitions. They also reached the semifinals of the Champions League, where they lost to Juventus.
