Ignacio Ambriz, technical director of the soccer club Necaxa, is aware of the imminent departure of their star player and top scorer, the Chilean Edson Puch, who is close to signing with Pachuca.
The coach knew that offers would come for the Chilean player, and he had also shown some interest in a change of scenery, so the Necaxa team has already resigned themselves.
"The decision has already been made, I just spoke with Ernesto (Tinajero), our president. It was something that was expected. We have to stay calm, the institution comes first and then everything else. We are aware that a great player is leaving, but we have to respect the player's desires," explained Ambriz.
The coach is currently in Cancun for the Transfer Window, looking for players who can fill the notable absence that Puch will leave. Puch was the top scorer of the club during his time there, but he understands the South American player's desire to wear a different jersey.
"As a player, you have ambitions, you want to grow both as a player and economically. We understood that and we wish him the best, but we will also fight to have a great season," stated the former coach of Chivas de Guadalajara and América.
Despite the blow of Puch's imminent departure, "Nacho" Ambriz made it clear that Rayos' ambitions for this semester will not change. They aspire to reach the finals, whether in the League or the Copa MX.
"Our goal is to reach the final, we have to aspire to it and give it the importance it deserves. We will fight for a final," mentioned Ambriz.
