Florida police released the video of the arrest of American golfer Tiger Woods after driving under the influence.

Tiger Woods unable to follow police instructions, according to video

Tiger Woods was simply unable to follow any instructions from the police who arrested him this week, according to a video released by local authorities.

WE RECOMMEND: Tiger Woods apologizes for traffic incident.

In a series of tests to determine if he was sober, the golfer appears dizzy and disoriented, according to the footage captured by the camera mounted on the dashboard of the patrol car that stopped next to Woods' vehicle.

Woods speaks slowly and slurs his words, he staggers when trying to walk on the white line that marks the highway, and he fails to take short steps, bringing the heel of the foot that is in front together with the tip of the foot that is behind.

When asked to raise his right hand, he raises his left, and an officer has to correct him. In the end, the officers place both of his hands behind his back to arrest him and take him to the back seat of the patrol car.

Local police officers in Jupiter intervened early Monday morning, noticing that a Mercedes car was parked next to a six-lane highway. One part of the vehicle was invading the lane for cars, and the other part was on the space where bicycles transit.

Inside the vehicle, the police found Woods, who was sleeping at the wheel, according to a report on the incident. The engine was running and a turn signal was on.

The police also revealed photographs of Woods' car, with two deflated tires and minor damage on the driver's side.

When the officers asked Woods where he had been, he replied "LA", referring to Los Angeles. As for his destination, the 14-time major champion golfer claims it is Orange County.

The one hour and 39-minute video starts when the Jupiter police approach Woods' car. It ends when a police vehicle arrives at the Palm Beach County jail, with Woods handcuffed on board.

Woods told the officers that he had not been drinking, and two breathalyzer tests in jail confirmed his version. Almost 10 hours after his release, Woods issued a statement.

"I want the public to know that alcohol was not involved," he wrote. "What happened was an unexpected reaction to prescribed medications. I didn't realize the mix of medications affected me so strongly."

The athlete told the police that he was taking medications. He was asked about the type, but his response was edited on the video. The arrest report mentions four drugs, including Vicodin.

Woods will be formally notified of the charges against him on July 5 in a Palm Beach court.

For now, the video has provided clearer evidence of the state Woods was in on Monday morning.

When an officer tells him that the straps of one shoe are untied, Woods tries to tie them.

"It's the other shoe," the officer clarifies, while Woods unties the straps that were tied. "Now it's both shoes."

After that, the officer tells Woods that he can take off his shoes if he wants to. Woods confesses that he doesn't remember what happened or why he was asleep in the car.

Woods fails the sobriety test from the beginning.

He has trouble simply putting his feet together. When he does, he leans forward, losing his balance.

The officer turns on a flashlight and asks Woods to follow the light with his eyes. But the detainee fails to move his eyes from side to side.

Only on April 20, Woods underwent his fourth back surgery in three years. He hasn't played since February 2 in Dubai, a tournament from which he withdrew after the first round due to back spasms.

He will not recover before the current season on the PGA Tour ends.
