In search of victory and hoping for a miracle, Barcelona will host Eibar at Camp Nou this Sunday (1:00 p.m. - ESPN), where both teams will play the last match of the Spanish League.
The validation of Barcelona's title in Spain will depend on what Real Madrid does in their visit to Málaga at La Rosaleda, also on the same matchday: a victory or a draw from Real Madrid will eliminate Barcelona's aspiration.
After 37 matches played, Barcelona has accumulated 87 points as runner-up behind Real Madrid in the table, three points away from the long-awaited consecration; a demanding challenge for Luis Enrique's farewell in front of the Catalan fans.
"I'm not leaving. Next year I will be in the stands with all the fans. I have a lot of affection for Catalonia, my wife is Catalan and my three children as well. I only have words of gratitude," he said before the match.
For the title: Real Madrid visits Málaga in the last match of the Spanish League
The coach of Barcelona will have to replace the injured Jérémy Mathieu, Aleix Vidal, Rafinha Alcántara, and Javier Mascherano; while Gerard Piqué and Sergi Roberto will be back.
"The only objective is to help the team conquer the three points and, if that happens, celebrate it, and if not, congratulate the champion team. We have to win with good football and make people enjoy," said the Spanish coach.
Possible lineups
Barcelona: Ter Stegen; Sergi Roberto, Piqué, Umtiti, Alba; Sergio Busquets, Rakitic, Iniesta; Messi, Luis Suárez, and Neymar.
Eibar: Yoel or Riesgo; Capa, Gálvez, Lejeune, David Juncà; Pedro León, Escalante, Dani García, Inui or Bebé; Kike García, and Sergi Enrich.
