Universitario de Deportes defeats Deportivo Municipal

During another match of the Summer Tournament, Universitario de Deportes defeated Deportivo Municipal 2-1 at Iván Elías Moreno stadium, located in the district of Villa El Salvador. With two goals from Panamanian player Luis Tejada, the cream-colored team managed to prevail in the game.

Deportivo Municipal's goal came from Diego Mayora at the 64th minute of the match; however, at minute 78, Universitario equalized the score 1-1. Later on, the 'U' took the lead with two additional goals, allowing them to earn 16 points in the Group B standings.

On the other hand, Universitario's coach, Pedro Troglio, was expelled from the game after receiving a red card for vehemently protesting a series of decisions, including the referees' failure to penalize a foul committed by the opponents that favored the cream-colored team. However, that frustration eventually disappeared after the victory of his team.
