The Real Zaragoza presents new players

The Real Zaragoza has presented today four new players: Manu Herrera, Aria Hasegawa, Pape Diamanka, and "Ángel" Luis Rodríguez. The goalkeeper from Madrid, Manu Herrera, has been the first one to appear, stating that joining the Aragonese team is "a very important step" in his sports career.

"Real Zaragoza is a great team, with a great history, many titles, and a great fanbase that supports them and has a very ambitious goal, which is to promote," highlighted the goalkeeper. Manu Herrera says he arrives in the capital of Aragon with the idea of ​​helping the team "become greater and be where it deserves to be."

Herrera, who played for Zaragoza's team Casetas a few seasons ago, says that he couldn't imagine back then that he could sign for Real Zaragoza. The goalkeeper from Madrid won the Zamora Trophy with Elche in the 2012-13 season, and the team from Elche was promoted to La Liga, something he would like to happen this season as well.

The player from Tenerife, Angel, has pointed out that he arrives on the shores of the Ebro River "with a lot of enthusiasm" and to a great club with a "very big and first-class" history. "Hopefully, we will be among the top two. It's going to be very difficult, but we will try to achieve it. Last year, they had a great campaign," he indicated.

Angel describes himself as a small player in height but skillful, fast, living on the line of offside, and scoring goals. The Senegalese Diamanka has stated that his goal is to "keep growing and improving" in his new club. "I will try to surpass what I did last year to help the club be where it should be," he emphasized.

The African player explained that he chose Real Zaragoza because he had clear preferences and because the Aragonese team was "what he was looking for." Diamanka is not afraid of the great competition he will have this season in midfield because he says that when he committed, he already knew it and that it is the best thing that can happen to the team.

The last one to be presented was the Japanese Aria Hasegawa, who surprised everyone by saying his first and last words of the press conference in Spanish. "I am happy to be able to play for Real Zaragoza. Playing in the Spanish league has always been my dream since I was a child. I will try to help Real Zaragoza," he said in good Spanish.

Later, with a translator, he commented that he was very grateful for the opportunity he was going to have and that he believes he will not have too many adaptation problems because in Japan, he played in two periods with his current coach, Ranko Popovic, and already knows what his ideas are and what he wants to do.
