Triathlon in Mexico City

As part of the activities that have returned to Mexico City, 'The capital of sports', the celebration of the city's first triathlon is scheduled to take place at the end of this year.

Horacio de la Vega, Director of the Mexico City Sports Institute, confirmed that by order of Miguel Ángel Mancera, they are working on this discipline that includes swimming, biking, and running tests.

"We will see about that, but it is a project that the governor has entrusted to me, we are negotiating with the Mexican Triathlon Federation, with the ITU (International Triathlon Union), and we are looking for a location where the Triathlon can be truly successful", said Horacio.

Likewise, he anticipated that the construction of a long-term complex is being planned in order to host more of these events in the future.

"We don't want to leave it as an isolated event, but rather as a worthy and long-term facility", emphasized the head of Indeporte.
