Espanyol president Joan Collet says there has been no progress in the negotiations with Real Madrid for goalkeeper Kiko Casilla. Collet was speaking on Tuesday at the General Assembly of the Spanish Football Federation. “We are at €4 million. For what he represents and for what the value of the player is we have not asked for anything because we do not have to sell. The communication we sent to Real Madrid was that Kiko is valued at more than €4 million. I don’t know if they have other proposals, but we have not talked for a few days. We are currently at €4 million and we cannot accept that.”
Collet admitted that the player is nervous about his situation. “I talked with Kiko in Viella on Saturday and he was concerned about his future. He is a very good professional but the position of the club has moved. I am calm and I hope the club is too. He understood the position of Espanyol. I am not concerned about what others do.”
