The Peruvian athlete Remigio Huamán will complete tomorrow Wednesday the fourth stage of his participation in the Des Sables ultramarathon in Morocco, over a distance of 256 km.
The race, consisting of six stages, is considered one of the most dangerous in the world due to its geographical and climatic conditions (40 degrees temperature). In addition, it is a self-supported event because from the first day of competition, the athletes carry a backpack with 14,000 calories of food, medical materials in case they are attacked by snakes, a sleeping bag, and sneakers.
Ranked athlete. Huamán obtained the thirteenth place in the first stage. In the second phase, he reached the ninth position and in the third stage, he arrived at the sixth place.
Remigio Huamán, who currently occupies the tenth place in the overall standings, will seek to achieve a better record in the survival race known as the Dakar Rally of running.
