Eduardo de la Torre, sports director of Cruz Azul, stated in a press conference that the team has failed the president of La Máquina, as he claims that he has provided them with all the support and is the one who has the least responsibility for the club's poor performance.
"Guillermo Álvarez is the least guilty of all this, he has given all the support in the project, he has given all the backing, he has been close to us, he has been a president who offers himself and is always available, both for individual and group objectives, he has trusted us, we are the ones who have failed him," said de la Torre.
The La Noria team is in fifteenth place in the overall standings of the Clausura 2017, they were eliminated in the Cup by Morelia and are starting to sink into problems with the Liga MX promotion table.
