Peruvian forward Paolo Guerrero is going through one of the best moments of his football career at 33 years old. In the last qualifying match against Uruguay, he shined with a goal and this Tuesday, former world champion Jorge Burruchaga praised him on the program Fútbol Como Cancha from RPP Noticias.
"He is a beast in the box. The other day he played a great match (against Uruguay). He is one of the best forwards in South America, and I dare say in the world, because he has it all. He is a goalscorer, has technique, plays with his back to the goal, is brave, a leader, and he is going through a great moment," he said.
Supports the 'Tigre'. Before praising Paolo Guerrero, Burruchaga also referred to the continuity that national team coach Ricardo Gareca deserves to continue leading the Blanquirroja on the right path. Both are good friends.
"He is one of the best people in football. Patience in processes has shown results for those who have done it. Peru, in my opinion, should have three more points than they have because they have deserved much more on the field. Anything can happen, everyone plays against everyone, there are twelve points left and Peru could pull off a surprise," said the 1986 World Cup champion with the Argentine National Team.
