Oaxaca Warriors blank Águila Reds

Oaxaca Warriors blanked today 9-0 Águila Reds from Veracruz, to tie this inaugural series of the 2017 Mexican Baseball League (LMB) season, played at Eduardo Vasconcelos Stadium.

The Oaxaca "tribe" connected in this game a total of 11 hits, which led them to an easy victory, against the powderless Veracruz "plumed" team.

Daniel Guerrero (1-0) got the win for the "warrior tribe", while the Italian Alex Maestri (0-1) suffered the loss for the "red bird" from the port.

For the "warriors", Ismael Martínez (1) hit a two-run homer in the seventh inning, contributing to this shutout.

This Sunday, Oaxaca and Veracruz will seek to win this first three-game series of the 2017 regular season, at the same venue.
